Calling all storytellers — whether you’re penning your first chapter or adding to a growing shelf of published work, this workshop is for you. In fact, the Southern Writers’ Workshop is a welcoming space where creativity flourishes and writers genuinely support one another.
Throughout your time with us, you’ll experience engaging, hands-on sessions designed to spark inspiration, strengthen your craft, and help you build lasting connections. Moreover, you’ll have the chance to share your writing, receive thoughtful feedback, and explore fresh ideas in a supportive, like-minded community.
Whether you’re stuck in a creative rut, ready to polish your latest manuscript, or simply seeking camaraderie, you’ll find your place here.

Kirk Will be Attending the Jambalaya Writers’ Conference

The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library and the Terrebonne Parish Library are hosting the 20th Annual Jambalaya Writers’ Conference an event for authors, writers, and readers. Tom Piazza will be the keynote speaker. There will be a $15 Lunch and Listen* with David Middleton, Ariel Francisco Henriquez, and more. You will have the opportunity to meet with a publisher.
