Calling all storytellers.
Whether you are writing your first chapter or adding to a growing shelf of published work, this workshop is for you.
The Southern Writers’ Workshop is a welcoming space for writers of all levels. Here, creativity can grow, ideas can take shape, and writers can support one another.
Each month, we enjoy hands-on sessions designed to spark inspiration and strengthen your craft. You will also have the chance to share your writing, receive helpful feedback, and connect with other local writers.
If you feel stuck, this workshop can help you get moving again. If you are polishing a manuscript, you can find fresh insight. Also, if you simply want to be around people who love stories, you will feel right at home.
Bring your passion, your voice, and your love for storytelling.
Together, we will grow one word at a time.

The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library and the Terrebonne Parish Library are hosting the 21th Annual Jambalaya Writers’ Conference an event for authors, writers, and readers. Tom Piazza will be the keynote speaker. There will be a $15 Lunch and Listen* with David Middleton, Ariel Francisco Henriquez, and more. You will have the opportunity to meet with a publisher.
