Farewell to Wattpad
Dear readers, I owe each of you an explanation regarding my recent departure from Wattpad. You may have noticed that both of my novels, Double Exposure and Boots and Stilettos, have been removed from the platform. This decision was not made lightly, and I want to clarify that I haven’t just walked away. In fact, the truth of the matter is both exciting and, at points, disappointing.
Exciting News: Upcoming Amazon Release
Let’s start with the positive news. In just a few days, both of my novels will officially be published and available for purchase on Amazon. This milestone represents a dream come true for me as a writer. When I first began posting on Wattpad, I never imagined my stories would resonate with so many readers around the world. I owe a great deal to the Wattpad community for nurturing my growth as a storyteller.
The Reality of Copyright Violations
However, the road has not been without its challenges. I faced serious copyright violations where others copied my work without my permission. Entire chapters and sometimes my complete books were found on various unauthorized websites. I tried to combat this through takedown notices, but sadly, the promise of protection that Wattpad once offered appears to be failing many authors, including myself.
This departure from Wattpad is bittersweet; it is necessary to protect my stories and the countless hours invested in crafting them. I sincerely thank all of you who have supported and motivated me throughout this journey. Your belief in my stories has been invaluable. Although I have removed my works from Wattpad, I envision this as a new chapter rather than an end. I hope to share future projects with you all, but they will no longer be available for free online.
