Sometimes a book cover needs to do more than catch the eye.
It needs to tell the truth.
That is why I recently made a small but important change to the cover of Boots and Stilettos. Not because I was unhappy with the book. Far from it. I love this story. These characters mean a lot to me. Most of all, the heart behind it matters.
After looking at the previous cover, I realized something important. It was beautiful, but it may not have fully communicated the clean and wholesome nature of the story inside.
That mattered to me.
G-Rated
Boots and Stilettos is a clean, wholesome, feel-good romance. This love story is filled with heart, humor, family, ranch life, culture clashes, and emotional growth. The romance is warm without being explicit. Every page was written to be enjoyable, safe, and uplifting.
In plain English?
This is a totally G-rated romance.
Inside the book, readers will not find curse words.
There are no sex scenes.
Violence is not part of the story.
Instead, readers will find a warm, heartfelt romance about two very different people learning that love has a funny way of showing up where it is least expected.
The story follows Annie Contadelucci, an Italian heiress sent to Montana to learn the family ranching business. Waiting on the other side of that assignment is Jake Spyker, a rugged cowboy who has no time for high heels, fancy luggage, or anyone who thinks ranch life is cute from a distance.
Naturally, they get along perfectly.
Well… eventually.
At Its Heart
At its heart, Boots and Stilettos is about love, legacy, family expectations, hard work, and the beautiful mess that happens when two worlds collide. Sweet romance runs through the pages, along with plenty of sparks, just not the kind that requires hiding the book from your grandmother.
The previous cover had a lot going for it, but I never want a reader to pick up one of my books expecting one thing, then discover something completely different. So I adjusted the cover to better match the soul of the story.
This fresh new look is not a step back.
It is a clearer promise.
To celebrate the change, I have set Boots and Stilettos globally to only 99 cents.
That makes this the perfect time to grab a copy, especially for readers who enjoy clean romance, western settings, strong family themes, and characters who slowly discover they may need each other more than they expected.

For me, this cover change is all about honesty.
A clean story should look like a clean story.
Wholesome romance deserves to be presented clearly.
Readers should know they can enjoy the emotion, the ranch setting, the romance, and the story without worrying about what is waiting on the next page.
That was important to me.
Because at the end of the day, Boots and Stilettos is not just a love story.
It is a story about finding home, even when you arrive wearing completely the wrong shoes.
And honestly?
That might be my favorite kind of story.
